Merry Christmas
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years! Enjoy this time off with your family and friends. I know I will! We've only been out since Friday (it's Monday) and I've already finished a new book that I was given for Christmas while relaxing on my couch. I had almost forgotten what that felt like. HA! Can't wait to see you all in the new year.

December 10 - 14
Only two more weeks before the end of the marking period. Time sure flies when you're learning and growing. We're preparing for the holidays and have some great mothers getting our celebration all worked out! The kids will be celebrating on Friday, December 21st from 9-10. Thanks to Mrs. Toper, Mrs. Straight, & Mrs. Nardulli for helping us plan the event and some special craft days along the way. Make sure that you send in your donations for the party by Wednesday, Dec. 12th so that we can plan accordingly. There will be a $5 Book Exchange the day of the party as well.
We have a fieldtrip to Vulcan Rock Quarry on Tuesday from 9:00-1:00. It will be a great wrap-up to our unit on Rocks & Minerals as well as our Soil Unit.
Thursday is teacher collaboration in the morning. Mrs. Kelly and I will be at school, just not in the classroom in the morning. The third grade teachers will be planning some wonderful things during this time together.
Curriculum for the week:
Spelling: soon, story, since, white, ever, synonym, antonym, adjective, describe, & noun.
English: Prefix/Suffix & Word Ladders
Reading: Nonfiction Conventions & Inferencing
Social Studies: Map scale & Map grids
Math: Geometry
**COME ONE COME ALL**
